Mission Statement

The Monroe County Historical Association is a cultural and learning center that helps our diverse community of residents and visitors connect the county’s past with the present.  

As a cultural and learning center, the Monroe County Historical Association seeks to:

  • inspire and serve the public as the county-wide Historical Association,
  • teach lessons of history that provide direction to the future, and
  • enhance quality of life and appreciation of community and culture.
